TEFLON FABRICS

Teflon fabrics are produced as a result of a glass or aramid PTFE coating, resulting in a material with very high strength, unchanged size and original fabric shape.

Teflon fabrics with a single-sided adhesive layer are prepared chemically and then coated with a special silicone or acrylic adhesive layer. The recipe of the silicone adhesive has been developed for permanent operation of the fabric in the temperature range from -170oC to +260oC. To protect the adhesive from drying out or sticking, a special protective spacer is used.

Glass fibre fabrics coated with PTFE in non-adhesive or single-sided adhesive versions are available in various thicknesses, as full-size rolls, tapes, cut-outs and formats. Properties of fabrics:

  • extreme heat resistance (continuous operation from -170 to +260oC, temporary operation up to +300oC)
  • excellent anti-adhesion
  • extremely high chemical resistance
  • very good mechanical properties:
    • tensile strength
    • resistance to punctures
    • material fatigue resistance
    • dimensional stability
  • exceptionally low coefficient of friction
  • easiness to keep clean
  • high dielectric resistance
  • Excellent resistance to ultraviolet (UV) and infrared radiation
