Teflon fabrics are produced as a result of a glass or aramid PTFE coating, resulting in a material with very high strength, unchanged size and original fabric shape.
Teflon fabrics with a single-sided adhesive layer are prepared chemically and then coated with a special silicone or acrylic adhesive layer. The recipe of the silicone adhesive has been developed for permanent operation of the fabric in the temperature range from -170oC to +260oC. To protect the adhesive from drying out or sticking, a special protective spacer is used.
Glass fibre fabrics coated with PTFE in non-adhesive or single-sided adhesive versions are available in various thicknesses, as full-size rolls, tapes, cut-outs and formats. Properties of fabrics:
